About Our Programs
“Michael’s Place has been incredibly comforting and loving to me. The Women’s Group has brought me so much support and motherly love since my mom passed away. It is the most sacred, comfortable place to share and express your grief.” — Michael’s Place Attendee
At Michael’s Place, we provide a range of grief support programs, resources, and educational opportunities tailored to meet the unique needs of children, teens, adults, and the broader community. Our focus is on compassionate care that promotes healing and emotional well-being in a safe, supportive environment.
Grief can leave individuals feeling isolated and overwhelmed, but connecting with others who have experienced similar loss can be a powerful step toward healing. Our support opportunities include peer discussion groups, creative and educational activities, and workshops designed to foster comfort, safety, and hope. Children and teens benefit from activity-based support groups and monthly “best-day” events, while adults can choose from a variety of group sessions and workshops that encourage open expression and connection.
No matter where someone is in their grief journey, Michael’s Place offers a place to feel understood, supported, and less alone.

Support Programs for Adults
Michael’s Place offers programs that foster a supportive environment among peers who understand.

Support Programs for Youth and Families
Children grieve differently than adults. The way they grieve also varies according to their age. That’s why we have grief support programs and events designed specifically for youth and their families.

Community Support Services
Michael’s Place offers guidance, support, and training to schools, businesses, and organizations throughout the region that have experienced a death.
