Getting Started

We ask that you attend an initial informational session prior to coming to your first support group meeting. This meeting will help you understand more about Michael’s Place and how our groups work. Bereaved Adult Support Group

Support group for adults grieving the death of a loved one. Open to any loss.

Twice Monthly on Mondays, 6:00-7:00pm. 

Bereaved Parents Group

Support group for parents who are grieving the loss of a child.

Twice Monthly, Mondays, 6:00-7:00pm.

Bereaved Spouse Group

Support group for adults who are grieving the loss of a spouse or partner.

Two Options Available:
Twice Monthly, Mondays, 6:00-7:00pm
Twice Monthly, Tuesdays, 10-11am

Adult Loss of Parent Group

Grief support for adults who have experienced the death of a parent.

Twice Monthly on Mondays, 6:00-7:00pm.

Sudden Loss Support Group

Grief support for adults who have experienced a loved one’s death from suicide, overdose, or accident

Twice Monthly on Mondays, 6:00-7:00pm. 

Young Adults Support Group

Grief Support for adults ages 18 to early 30s who are grieving a death.

Twice Monthly on Mondays, 6:00-7:00pm. 

Faith-Based Grief Support Group

 Grief support with a Christian foundation but all faiths are welcome.

Twice Monthly on Mondays, 6:00-7:00pm. 

Infant & Pregnancy Loss Group

Support group for adults grieving a miscarriage, stillbirth, infant or toddler death. 

Second Monday, 6:00-7:00pm.

Women's Support Group

Peer-facilitated grief support for women who have experienced a death.

Twice Monthly on Wednesdays, 10:30-11:45am.

Complex & Unresolved Grief Group

Virtual support group for those who have experienced complex, unresolved grief.

Weekly on Thursdays Via Zoom, 2:00-3:00pm (Begins January 15)

Mindful Self-Compassion & Grief

This program offers a nurturing space to explore grief and emotional pain through discussion, reflection, and compassion-based practices using The Mindful Self-Compassion Workbook.

Monthly on Tuesdays, 1:00 – 4:00pm

Coffee and Conversation

Coffee & Conversation is not a formal support group, but an opportunity to connect with other grieving adults in a relaxed, conversational atmosphere.

Twice Monthly on Wednesdays, 9:45-10:30am.

Important

  • It’s important to note that Michael’s Place is not a crisis center. If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. If you are in need of immediate emotional support or are experiencing thoughts of suicide, please contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

  • Michael’s Place is open M-Th, 9:00 am-4:00 pm, with extended evening and weekend hours for programming.

  • Michael’s Place follows the TCAPS inclement weather policy, and all programming is canceled on snow days.

  • Michael’s Place observes major holidays and is closed the week of TCAPS spring break, the week of Cherry Festival and the week of Christmas-New Year’s.
